Claire, our Nurse Practitioner, is able to treat a wide range of minor illnesses as well as being able to prescribe.
She can treat:
Ear, nose & throat infections including children.
Chest infections & sinusitis.
UTI's in men, women, children & pregnant women.
Boils, impetigo, insect bites & infections.
Emergency contraception, swabs, & postponing menstruation.
Threadworm, ringworm, hand, foot & mouth
Shingles & Chicken Pox
Hayfever & asthma attacks
Child head injuries including mild bumps & cuts etc.
Cat & dog bites
Temperature symptoms & abdominal pain in children
Diarrhoea & vomiting
Appointments can be booked in with Claire - please inform the receptionist the reason for the appointment to ensure you are booked into an appointment with the appropriate nurse.
Both our nurses undertake smoking cessation counselling, Chronic Disease Management, Dressings, Blood pressure Checks, Health promotion and Ear Syringing.

Reception Team Leader
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
To Reception Team have been instructed by the GP Partners to ask their patients a couple of non intrusive questions for them to be able to give you access to the most appropriate clinician on the day and that maybe a GP or a Practice Nurse.
Weekly Clinic on Tuesday 13:00– 16:00 by appointment
Three district Nurses help housebound patients within the practice area. They are based at Winslow Health Centre but frequently come to the surgery and work closely with the rest of the primary healthcare team.
